LIVING, WALKING AND SERVING

Our vision as a Church of Jesus Christ is to develop a fellowship of believers who will:
Live a life of Grace by faith,
Walk with God by faith, and
Serve God by grace
Our focus is on these three words –
live, walk, and serve.

THE ACT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE EARLY CHURCH

The Book of Acts is God’s own defining church history book, it is the beginning of the outcome of Jesus’ promises and commands. The recurring theme of this Book is that our spiritual ancestors were empowered by the Holy Spirit. That same power is available to us. God has not left us at the mercy of our weaknesses, He has sent the Holy Spirit to help us follow their example…

THE FRUIT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

While the gifts of the Spirit are valuable and necessary, Paul recommends the fruit of the Spirit as “a more excellent way” (1 Cor.12:31). One of the primary purposes of the Holy Spirit coming into a Christian’s life is to change that life. It is the Holy Spirit’s job to conform us to the image of Christ, making us more like Him.

The outpouring of the Holy Spirit began the church age; the disciples were both baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit; with the evidence of speaking in unknown languages or tongue. On this birthday of the church when the Holy Spirit was poured out on all the believers …

THE TRINITY

The Trinity is one God existing in three Persons. Understand that this is not in any way suggesting three Gods. The word “Trinity” is not found in Scripture. It is just a term that is used to attempt to describe the triune God—three coexistent, co-eternal Persons who are God.

CHURCH

Jesus Christ is the founder and foundation of the Universal Church. Local Churches that are not built upon Jesus as their foundation will not survive. However, if Jesus is the foundation, then the Gates of Hell will not prevail against it.

THE ARK OF GOD

Since the death and resurrection of Jesus, God no longer uses an ark of the testimony to dwell with His people. We are under a New Testament or covenant. At Pentecost, He sent the Holy Spirit to indwell every believer. We become His temple.
